Chimney sweep service near me — Portland, OR

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

The final cost for your chimney service depends on a few specific factors. We look at the total height of the chimney stack, the level of creosote buildup inside the flue, and whether you have a standard masonry fireplace or a prefabricated metal insert. If there are structural blockages like nests or excessive debris that require extra labor, that will also adjust the estimate. We avoid hidden fees, but every setup is unique, so we evaluate the condition of your liner and firebox upon inspection.

About this service

A chimney sweep uses long brushes and industrial vacuums to clear out debris, bird nests, and flammable soot from your chimney liner. This maintenance is essential for safety, especially if you have a wood-burning fireplace. We recommend booking a sweep once you notice a drop in draft performance or simply as part of your yearly home maintenance routine. Proper cleaning prevents smoke from backing up into your living room and reduces the risk of chimney fires.

Summer is the best time to inspect your chimney while the weather is clear. We can easily spot structural issues, loose mortar, or cap damage that might have gone unnoticed during the winter. Getting your chimney serviced now means you are fully prepared for the first cold snap of autumn. Give us a call to book your inspection.
