Cost of a chimney sweep — Portland, OR

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

The final cost for your chimney service depends on a few specific factors. We look at the total height of the chimney stack, the level of creosote buildup inside the flue, and whether you have a standard masonry fireplace or a prefabricated metal insert. If there are structural blockages like nests or excessive debris that require extra labor, that will also adjust the estimate. We avoid hidden fees, but every setup is unique, so we evaluate the condition of your liner and firebox upon inspection.

About this service

The cost of a chimney sweep covers the professional labor and tools used to scrub your flue and verify its safety. Prices are influenced by the height of your home and the difficulty of accessing the chimney stack. An annual sweep is recommended to keep your fireplace safe for your family. We offer an evaluation of your chimney's current state; exact pricing confirmed free on the call.

Summer is the best time to inspect your chimney while the weather is clear. We can easily spot structural issues, loose mortar, or cap damage that might have gone unnoticed during the winter. Getting your chimney serviced now means you are fully prepared for the first cold snap of autumn. Give us a call to book your inspection.
